HEALING YOGA 

Yoga has been considered as one of the six system of Indian philosophy. Yoga aims for a balance and harmonious co-existence of man and nature.

Yoga therapy is a collection of techniques that leads to a perfect coordination of physical mental intellectual emotional and spiritual aspects of a personality for a total and comprehensive growth of a person. For that, we should practise asanas-natural movements and postures of the body, kriyas-purifying practices, breathing exercise pranayama, meditation and yogic relaxation techniques. Such practices help one to gain. Order and discipline line in life. The respiratory system, digestive system and excretory system are made efficient and blooming according to the yogic science diseases originate from the violation of rules of nature. complying with the laws of nature we should develop a natural immunity and keeping check the causes of diseases. The practice of yoga eases one of the stress and strain and gives complete rest of the body and mind. It helps to control and management psychosomatic disorders. Thus yoga acts a system of therapy. The definitions of diseases given in the ancient yogic text yoga Vasishta, makes clear how yoga works as a system of therapy.

Diseases can be classified into adhija and Anadhijja.Adhija (acquired disease) affect the mind and Anadhija (non-acquired diseases) affect the body.Yoga regards mental strees as one of the major cause for disease.it does beleive that prolonged mental disturbance and stress result in disease.

vyadhi

Adhija vyadhis are the diseases that are the outcome of a disturbed state of mind and unhealthy emotions like jealousy, anger, hatred, fretfulness, anxiety, greed and arrogance. Anadhija vyadhis are the diseases generated from accidents and poisoning. Yoga yields up surprising progress in the treatment and control of Adhija vyadhis (strees-born disease)
